Being one of the classics, The Picture of Dorian Gray is well represented online. When I searched for it there were numerous sites that popped up, ranging anywhere from spark notes to movie trailers. Last year in the UK a movie was made about Dorian Gray. It was not released in the U.S. as far as I know, sad. But from what I can tell from the trailer, it looked decent. But I would have to see the whole thing to know if it followed the book well or not. You can find the trailer here and judge for yourself-http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi1782120985/.
I also looked on Amazon to see what kind of comments people made about the book. There were tons, over three hundred. Needless to say I did not read them all, but the ones I did made positive and very insightful posts about it. So if you want to read some critiques made by everyday people I would recommend this site-http://www.amazon.com/Picture-Dorian-Modern-Library-Classics/dp/0375751513. This is just one edition of Dorian Gray and I’m sure the others had more reviews and different comments this is just the one I liked best and felt it did a good job representing the work.
Finally I found the site, http://www.online-literature.com/wilde/dorian_gray/. This site I really really like. It allows you to do a number of things with the book. There are links to other sites about Dorian Gray, a section for posts, and most amazingly of all you can actually read the book! The posts on the website pretty much range from comments on the book, reviews, to questions, and cries for essay help. Plus it’s a nice way for fans of the book to communicate with each other. This site also has thousands of others works of literature so I definitely recommend it for all your reading needs!
